Fees inside the price
Oregon splits the licence from the tag. Salmon, steelhead, sturgeon and halibut need the combined angling tag on top: 69 for residents, 89 for visitors. Ocean fishing adds the 9-dollar endorsement, new for 2026, or 4 for a day.
How long your money lasts
ODFW: "Fishing licenses are valid from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31" — a calendar year, whenever you buy it. A licence bought in November is worth two months.
What we could not pin down
Rather than fill these in from somewhere else, they stay open until ODFW states them plainly.
- The exact age at which an Oregon licence becomes compulsory was not stated on the pages read; ODFW's own wording could not be quoted, so the youth licence is named and the threshold is flagged here rather than asserted.
- The three-day licence costs more than the annual one (68 against 50 for residents). That is what ODFW's fee schedule says, and it is left as it stands.
- Free fishing weekends: no dated 2026 announcement was read.
