How much is a fishing license in Utah?

$40 a year if you live here, $120 if you don't.

Just passing through? Fishing, three days, all ages costs $44 — the annual pays for itself from about 3 of those.

Every license price

What comes on top

These are separate from the base license. Buying the license alone is not always enough.

Setline permit, resident A 365-day permit, and only usable alongside a fishing or combination licence if you are 12 or older. Valid on named waters only. $22
Setline permit, nonresident Same rule for visitors. $48
Flaming Gorge reciprocal permit Utah and Wyoming share Flaming Gorge. With a resident licence from one state, this permit gets you the other side. Bear Lake and Lake Powell need no such permit — a valid licence from either state covers both sides. $59

How long your money lasts

Utah sells by the day count, not the calendar: a licence is "good for 365 days from the day you buy it". Three-day, seven-day, 365-day and multi-year versions all exist.

What we could not pin down

Rather than fill these in from somewhere else, they stay open until DWR states them plainly.
