How long your money lasts
Utah sells by the day count, not the calendar: a licence is "good for 365 days from the day you buy it". Three-day, seven-day, 365-day and multi-year versions all exist.
What we could not pin down
Rather than fill these in from somewhere else, they stay open until DWR states them plainly.
- The 2026 guidebook announces under "What’s new" that the Utah Legislature authorised higher nonresident fees to fund habitat purchases. The nonresident figures here are the ones on the current fee page; whether a further rise is already scheduled is not stated.
- The guidebook lists licence exemptions for youth groups and organisations on a page of its own. The conditions were not read in full and the exemption is named rather than described here.
- Utah also sells combination hunting and fishing licences at a discount against buying both. Only the fishing products are reproduced.
